The Urdu calligraphy classes which were being run by Siasat daily for the past 40 days were concluded yesterday at Mahboob Husain Jigar Hall.
Innumerable boys, girls and elderly persons benefitted from the classes run under the supervision of renowned calligrapher Nayeem Sabiri.
Competition was held on the conclusion in which 1st prize for Urdu calligraphy 5000 rupees, 2nd prize 3000 rupees and 3rd prize 2000 were given.
Ms Rafia Anjum daughter of Mohammad Zakiuddin advertisement department Siasat, bagged II prize.
Dr. Hasanuddin Ahmed IAS retd., Major Quadri, Syed Moosa participated as chief guests and expressed delight over the performance of the participants.
