Dy. CM of Telangana State Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali told that for destroying Urdu language, Urdu speaking people are mostly responsible. He also said that the community which ruled for 4 centuries could not preserve its mother tongue. Before the formation of Integrated A.P. State, Urdu was the second official language. Urdu speaking people failed to get Urdu schools established on the lines of English medium schools by making representations to the authorities of Govt. of A.P. He was addressing a gathering at Jashn-e-Urdu function organized by Telangana Urdu Forum and Mazhar Educational society. Mr. Ismail-ur-Rab Ansari presided over the meeting. Nawab Kazim Ali Khan, Hafiz peer Shabbeer Ahmed former MLC also attended the meeting. Mr. Mahmood Ali announced that in all the 10 districts of Telangana in addition to Urdu Bhavan, Offices of Wakf Board will also be established. During the 14 year struggle for separate Telangana State, Mr. KCR made continuous representation to Central Govt. against the injustices made to Urdu language. Mr. KCR likes Urdu language very much. He has given Urdu the status of 2nd official language in all the 10 districts of Telangana. Mr. Mahmood Ali also mentioned that TRS Govt. has allocated a large amount for the promotion of Urdu which the earlier Governments had not done. Mr. Mahmood Ali announced that Mr. Ismail ur Rab Ansari would be sent for performing Umrah in view of his services for the cause of Urdu.
