According to a press note issued by Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Director/Secretary Urdu Academy, application are invited from the eligible candidates for Best Urdu Teacher Award for the year 2013-2014 and for Urdu Calligrapher Award. He told that one Urdu teacher from each primary, upper primary and high school (total 3 awards) from each district will be selected for this award. One lecturer from Jr. College and Degree College from each district will also be selected. Two awards are reserved for Unani medical college teachers. Three awards will be given to the University teachers. These awards will be presented on the best performance of teachers of government schools and colleges in educational field. Similarly one calligrapher will be selected from among the Urdu Calligraphers.
The applications for Best Urdu Teacher Award must be submitted in the prescribed proforma singed by the concerned teacher and attested by Head Master, DEO/Deputy D.E.O.
Urdu Calligraphers can submit hand written applications along with necessary certificates and samples of their calligraphic art. Further details can be had from the office of Urdu Academy, Hajj House, Nampally, Hyderabad.
