In a press note Prof. S A Shukoor Director / Secretary Urdu Academy Andhra Pradesh stated that Urdu Academy will give prizes to the poets and writers on their Urdu books printed during the years 2012 & 2013. Issuing details regarding this Director / Secretary Urdu Academy said that the awards will be given for books in the categories of poetry, fiction, humour, children’s literature, research & criticism and miscellaneous.
The applicant must be submit his/her 5 printed copes along with the application and details on or before February 2014 at head office Urdu Academy, Andhra Pradesh, IV floor, Hajj House Namapally, Hyderabad.
Secretary/ Director Urdu Academy S.A. Shukoor told that Urdu Academy shall have the right to select or reject the books.
