UPSTC bus catches fire burning 22 passengers alive on collision with a truck

Uttar Pradesh: A UP State Road Transport Corporation bus carrying 41 passengers from Delhi to Gonda, UP met with accident killing 22 passengers and injuring 15 others.

The 22 passengers were charred to death when the bus collided with a truck and burst into flames on National Highway 24.

“The accident involving a bus of UPSRTC and a truck took place between 1.00 am and 1.30 am. 22 passengers of the bus died, while 15 sustained injuries. Six passengers are critically injured and have been hospitalised” said Jogendra Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police.

According to the Police, the collision was so powerful and big that the diesel tank was completely damaged, burning the UPSTC bus burning the passengers on its head on collision.

The driver of the Truck fled the scene.

The charred bodies are beyond recognition said eyewitnesses, Deccan Herald reported.
