New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of Civil Service 2015 examinations yesterday. A Kashmiri Muslim, Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan secured second position out of 1,078 successful candidates.
Ms. Tina Dabi of Delhi got the first rank. Athar Khan belongs to Jammu and Kashmir. He comes from a village Devipora in South Kashmir’s Anantnag District. He is the youngest boy, 22, to crack the exam from the valley.
It may be mentioned that Dr. Shah Faisal was the first Kashmiri Muslims who topped the UPSC Civil Service exams in 2010.
In 2014 Civil Service Exam, 38 Muslims candidates were successful whereas in 2015 exam, 37 could clear.
As per the rank, only on candidate, Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan can get IAS whereas the other candidates may get IFS, IPS, IRS and other civil services.
