Hyderabad: A L&T worker aged around 36 was found murdered at an isolated place in Uppal on Thursday.
The deceased is identified as Mangara Munda, son of Karan Singh Raj Kishan. He had joined L&T two months ago as a helper, TOI reported
The victim was a resident of L&T Labour Colony near Vijayapuri Colony in Uppal.
On Thursday night, a complaint was lodged at Uppal police station by the L&T supervisor Swastik Raju Chetri who stated that Munda had left the house on Wednesday without informing his roommates and never returned.
It was on Thursday evening when some residents found an unidentified body lying in Uppal’s Kurma Nagar the workers rushed to find it was none other than Munda and alerted the Police.
“Unknown persons strangled Munda using a towel. There were injuries on his face and other parts of the body,” Uppal inspector P Venkateshwarulu said.
The Uppal Police has registered a murder case under section 302 of IPC and manhunt to nab the culprits has begun. The Police is now checking CCTV camera footages to find the culprits.
