Updated at 7 PM: Two police informers were severely beaten by mob near Makkah Masjid and they reportedly sustain minor injuries.
Updated at 6 PM: Soon after the Friday prayers, Muslims chant Naar-e-Takbeer for few minutes. Except Charminar MLA no one were present on the spot. He has also disappeared in an eye blinking time. Muslims were felt amazed on the propaganda of Muslim politicians and Mashaqeen , who just flare up communal passions and put themselves away from the scene.
However, police made elaborate arrangements for the Friday prayer. It seems to have followed Israeli tactics of placing double barricades, to prevent the protesters more efficiently.
Updated at 2 PM: Friday prayer at historical Makkah Masjid passes off peacefully. Soon after the prayer starts at 12:45 PM, police officials had blocked the roads and people faces hurdles to reach the masjid.
The Hyderabad city police is once again gearing up to tackle the outbreak of possible violence that may erupt after the Friday prayers.
In the last couple of weeks, there have been deliberate attempts by Politicians to flare up communal passions. Last Friday, the Old City witnessed minor stone pelting soon after the prayers.
Hyderabad police commissioner Anurag Sharma held a meeting with his subordinates and discussed the bandobust. Beside Rapid Action Force (RAF), a large number of policemen would be deployed in old city.
An official said the bandobust would continue around the Old City for the next one month.
