‘UPA not serious about danger posed by China’

Kolkata, May 21: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today claimed that China posed a danger on the border which the UPA government was not taking seriously.

“China is capturing an inch of land in our territory every day, but the Central government has not taken it seriously. It is unfortunate,” Yadav alleged while addressing party workers on the opening day of the three-day National Council meeting.

Singh, a former Defence minister, demanded that the central government should take the Chinese incursion into Indian territory seriously.

He said when “Hindi-Chini bhai bhai” slogan was raised during the time of Jawaharlal Nehru and his Chinese counterpart Chou En Lai, Socialist leader Ram Manohar Lohia had warned about Chinese aggression.
