According to Turkish Hurriyet Daily News report, a school teacher in Turkey told female students that they “deserve rape” for not wearing an Islamic headscarf.
It seems that her statement does not go well with the parents and a number of parents have filed criminal complaints against her.
The middle school teacher who works in the northern Turkish province of Tokat, whose name was not revealed, made the statement during a religious education class.
Although she “apologized” for her comments, but the students’ families have maintained legal action is taken against the teacher.
According to local prosecutor’s office, two inspectors were investigating the teacher’s comment and will be taking necessary measures regarding the incident.
