Unusual Lull in Telangana

Hyderabad, April 27: The Telangana movement is facing an unusual lull with the movement promoters maintaining a low key.

TRS ,the protagonist of the movement is engaged in the party reconstruction process in the party’s strongholds while the other parties have taken almost a rest during the by-election season.

The Eighth chapter revelation process has given some scope for the academic discussion in the district headquarters of the region but that was not reaching the roots of the movement, the rural parts.

An observation on the movement of Telangana has reflected the fact that the struggle process in the rural parts is subdued particularly after the March 10 Million March. Observers say that the leaders of the movement have deliberately minimized the programmes in the rural parts. The upbeat mood subsequent to March 10 Million March could not reach the rural parts as the campaign in that aspect lacked the much needed verve. The post March 10 repression has also entailed in the minimization of the struggle forms and the exam season in the subsequent days has prompted the movement leaders to suspend the struggle. But the Court directions with regards to the Eighth Chapter of Sri Krishna Committee have refueled the Telangana sentiment with the true colours of SKC coming out openly.

However, the post revelation period could not speed up the movement in the rural areas. Meanwhile the tenth Year formation celebrations of TRS and the Kadapa By-election have also come as breathers for the Telanganites. Now the leaders have started speaking about post May programmes rather. This aspect has prompted the telanganites observe an unusual lull.
