Hyderabad: Charity is given when asked but not the right, for getting it we have to struggle. 12% reservation is the constitutional right of the Muslims. For getting reservation, the Muslims of Telangana have to make untiring efforts.
These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily who was the spirit behind 12% reservation campaign for Muslims while addressing a gathering organized on the occasion of the valedictory
function of the padyatra at Sanga Reddy Collectorate on Tuesday.
Mr. Amer Ali Khan congratulated the Welfare Party unit of Zaheerabad for arranging the program. He further told that they should launch a campaign throughout the State. He pointed out that TRS Govt. should fulfill its promise. Govt. of Telangana notified more than 1 lakh vacancies to be filled through Public Service Commission. Muslims are put to loss due to non-implementation of reservation policy. If 1 lakh vacancies are filled up, 12000 Muslim candidates could be appointed. There are 5 lakh Muslim families in Telangana State.
He also pointed out that if the Govt. of Telangana does not exert its pressure on the Central Govt. for the implementation of 12% reservation, it would be construed as a non-serious act.
Mr. KCR had promised that he would provide 12% reservation for Muslims within 4 months of assuming charge but even after the lapse of 40 months, this promise could not be fulfilled.
Hafiz Mohammed Irshad, President, Welfare Party of Zaheerabad unit led padyatra from Zaheerabad to Sangareddy. He told that the Muslims of Telangana have only one slogan. Govt. should fulfill its promise. The objective of 55 km padyatra from Zaheerabad to Sangareddy is to keep the Govt. abreast of the sentiments and displeasure of the Muslims. On the other hand, it was also has the intention to create awareness among the people to struggle for getting their rights. He applauded the efforts of Siasat Urdu Daily and Mr. Amer Ali Khan for organizing 12% reservation campaign successfully. Present on this occasion were Mr. Mohammed Ashfaq Patel, President, Khidmat Bank, Sadasivpet, Mr. Syed Yazdani, President NHF, Sadasivpet, Mr. Meraj Khan Hashmi, Congress leader, Mr. Mohammed Javeed, Mr. Abdur Rafe. Mr. Mohammed Wahab, Mr. Mohammed Mudabbiruddin Fahad and others.
