Unseasonal rain killed three and causes damage to crops

Officials on Sunday informed that standing crops were damaged due to the widespread rain lashes in several parts of Telangana.

The officials informed that a woman was killed in a wall collapse in Nizamabad district while in Warangal, a couple was electrocuted when a live wire snapped due to the winds and fell on their house.

The unseasonal rainfall has dealt a huge blow to mango farmers with over hundreds of acres getting damaged in Nalgonda district. GHMC workers are busy attending the water-logged areas in Lakdikapul, Nampally, Abids, Koti, Secunderabad, Amberpet, Tarnaka and Uppal.

On Saturday a tragedy was averted when a government school building collapsed in Atmakur in Sadashivpet mandal of Naglonda district. Even has the inundated low-lying areas in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, Mahabubnagar and Medak Districts were affected by heavy rainfall, the strong winds uprooted trees and disrupted traffic.
