Unruly behaviour of TDP unsolicited: BJP

Amravati (Andhra Pradesh): The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday criticised the ‘unruly behaviour’ of its ally party in Andhra Pradesh-Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and slammed it for ridiculing Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Expressing displeasure over a sequence of incidents in Andhra Pradesh against the Centre, BJP MLC Madhav told ANI, “Criticism is welcome but not abuse. TDP should not to get down to such low.”

He further claimed that the BJP was also working for the interests of Andhra Pradesh.

“BJP is also working on the issues due to the state and consultations are on. At such juncture, the unruly behaviour of the friendly party is unsolicited,” he opined.

On Monday, the TDP leaders had staged a protest to reaffirm their demand for a railway zone in Visakhapatnam.

One of the TDP protestors dressed up like Prime Minister Modi and bent down before a group of women while approving their demands.

Further, they placed a set of hoardings on the streets of Vijayawada and Amravati allegedly depicting Prime Minister Modi in a bad light.

The TDP has been miffed with the BJP over the issue of special status to Andhra Pradesh and granting permission for a separate railway zone at Visakhapatnam.(ANI)
