Hyderabad: According to a survey of WEEK-HANSA Research Rankings, the University of Hyderabad (UoH) has gained the fourth rank in India and first in South India for the year 2018. The Vice-Chancellor of UoH, Prof. Appa Rao Podile, expressed happiness over the feat and said: “We are pleased to be among the top five universities in the country and this has been possible only due to the efforts of our faculty, students, alumni and non-teaching employees.”
“We are consciously working towards improving our position in the Country. It is our constant endeavour to encourage quality research among the faculty and emphasize on innovation and critical thinking among our students, he added as per a report by Telangana Today.
Meanwhile, the survey that was conducted by collecting factual information from over 500 Universities in the country, placed Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) at first position, the University of Delhi (DU) at second and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) at third position.
