Senior Congress Leader, Mr. V. Hanumantha Rao, MP (Rajya Sabha) told that all the weaker sections should get united and pressurize the Govt. to solve their demands.
UPA Govt. is making attempts for the welfare of BC’s and Minorities. It is necessary that all the backward classes and Minorities should be united.
These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Hanumantha Rao while responding to the felicitations offered to him by the OBC’s Intellectual Forum for Social Justice at Jubilee Hall yesterday. He was congratulated on receiving Veeramani award in Delhi.
Mr. Rao further told that he made all the efforts to unite the MP’s of OBC’s. On the basis of his representation, Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh assured him that he would consider all his demands. Ms. Sonia Gandhi also preferrs to resolve the issues pertaining to weaker sections.
Mr. Hanumantha Rao stressed the need to appoint the Chairman of BC’s Commission from among the BC’s only. Mr. Baswaraj Saraiah, Minister for BC’s Welfare told that Mr. Hanumantha Rao’s mission fo life has been to look after the Welfare of the weaker sections. Mr. P.V. Ramana, Convenor of the Forum, Dr. Om Prakash, MP, Mr. J. M. Haroon, M.P., Mr. D. Shankar, Mr. M.A. Kareem, Thakur Hirudayanath Singh, Ms. Krupa Rani, Union Minister also addressed the gathering. Justice M.N. Rao was the Chief Guest of the function.
