#UnitedAgainstHate team meets kin of mob lynching victims

New Delhi: A team of #UnitedAgainstHate conducted a press conference in which the speakers condemned the killing of innocent Muslims by alleged Gau rakshaks. The press conference was held in Press Club of India where the team of #UnitedAgainstHate met the kin of victims of mob lynching. The family of Qasim Quraishi who was killed by the mob and Samiuddin who tried to save him narrated their horrible experience. It must be recalled that after the rumour of cow slaughter the angry mob brutally assaulted 48-year-old Qasim and killed him while the 62-year-old farmer is struggling for life.

Qasim’s brother told that Qasim was killed just because he was a Muslim, the cow was not at all there, nor he possessed any weapons. There was no evidence of cow slaughter. He was killed only on the basis of rumour. And they orphaned 6 children.

Jamat-e-Islami Hind Secretary General Saleem Mohammed Engineer, senior journalist Arifa Khan Sherwani, DUK lecturer Prof. Manoj Jha, social worker Nadeem Khan and others addressed the conference.
