(Siasat News)Expressing fervent sentiments on Telangana issue, it was felt that all the parties should make concerted efforts for getting separate Telangana State. Our motto should be to get separate Telangana. We should not believe the assurances or promises made by the Central Govt.
The speakers in the meeting convened by BJP for separate Telangana. State Convener of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee expressed these thoughts; Prof. Kondandaram told that all parties should work together despite their individual differences. He told that Congress has always stabbed us in our back.
He announced Bandh on 30th September. He also told that 10 parties would organize a rally to demand separate Telangana State. He declared launching of agitation programmes in the first week of September, which will continue till 30th September. He told that “Sakkala janula Sammay” has shown us the path to achieve our objectives.
The point of view emerged in the meeting held yesterday that since BJP is the largest opposition Party, it is its responsibility to take all the other parties with it.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Kishan Reddy, State President of BJP of A.P. said that all the other parties consider BJP as “untouchable” but it is ready to struggle jointly with any party for the cause of Telangana. He told that the national Committee of BJP has already accepted the demand for separate Telangana State.
Former President of Telangana N.G.O’s Union, Mr. Swamy Goud alleged BJP that it is not exhibiting its strength. He further told that BJP M.P’s should have protested in the Parliament and they should have shouted slogans.
In that case only, the demand for a separate state of Telangana could be materialized and it could become a reality. 166 M.P’s of BJP can present this demand more effectively in the Parliament and make the other M.P’s realize the sentiments of the people of Telangana. Mr. Swamy Goud said that if BJP takes interest in agitation, the formation of Telangana is possible and all of us are prepared to support it for this cause.
Prof. Kondandaram appealed to all the parties to support the proposed Telangana March to be organized on 39th September. He stressed the need to work jointly forgetting individual differences. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Vidyasagar Rao advised all the parties to get united and work for the formation of the separate Telangana State.
Prof. Keshava Rao Jadhar’s opinion was that there is no need for negotiations and meetings. We should pass a resolution and start agitation.
Dr. Gopal Krishna of Telangana Coordination Committee applauded the efforts of BJP to bring all the parties together on a common. He termed it as a welcome gesture. He told that for this purpose there is no need for a separate agenda or the party flags. He also criticized Congress, which has sold out Telangana to the Seema Andhra leaders. Mr. Narayan Rao told that it is not a movement of BJP or TDP. Political parties are exploiting it for their individual benefits. He welcomed the initiative taken by BJP. He told that we should send the message to all the political parties that we are all united.
Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya, former BJP M.P and Minister presented a resolution demanding separate Telangana State. He demanded the State Govt. not to harass Govt. employees who participate in Sakkala Janula Sammay (public protest).
