Hyderabad, November 19: Protesting against Andhra Pradesh government’s announcement to postpone the sub-inspector’s recruitment exams, demonstrations and road blockades were held in the districts of Coastal Andhra and Rayalseema regions.
The protesters, including scores of students, under the banner of ‘Seema-Andhra Parirakshana Vedike’ and different Students Joint Action Committees strongly reacted on the state government’s latest decision and took to streets in districts of Anantapur, Visakhapatnam, Nellore, Guntur and Tirupati in Chittoor and raised slogans against Chief Minister K Rosaiah.
Giving into demands from political parties and pro-Telangana activists, state government today put-off the written test for recruitment of sub-inspectors of police in the state originally scheduled for December 18 and 19.
At the Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU) in Anantapur, students and members of the JAC took out a massive rally and resorted to road blockade outside the varsity campus.
