Since the Dowry (money and house-hold) taken from the bride instead of paying her Mehr is so common in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh that no father of a daughter can think of her daughter’s marriage without paying dowry. This blackmail has increased so much that it has taken the shape of “Social blackmail”. As a result, there are many precedents in which the grooms do not want to take any dowry, still the bride’s parents force them to accept it as they are afraid that their daughter will face condemnation from the relatives of the groom. On top of it, the dinner party has become compulsory on the part of the bride’s father on the day of wedding. The groom does give the Walima party but first the bride’s side has to host hundreds of guests from groom’s side with number of dishes at an elegant marriage hall. Since the divorce rate in the society is less but the ration of strained relations is very high in the sub-continent, it is inevitable to promote counseling which is very important part of the Sunnah but neglected by the community. As a result, domestic violence, divorces, police & court cases etc are on rise. Socio Reforms society is establishing counseling centers and training the capable people to join this faculty.
SimpleNikah.com is founded by Socio Reforms society under the supervision of Mr. Aleem Khan Falaki, the President of the Society. Number of experts took part in making the service a professional and ideal for the internet users.
