Unique garden for specially-abled people in Delhi

New Delhi, February 19: A unique garden with colourful flower beds and trees will soon come up in the city for specially-abled people.

Announcing this, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said the garden, which will also have various types of herbal trees, will be set up at the Garden of Five Senses located in south Delhi.

Speaking after inaugurating the annual Garden Tourism festival, she said consistent efforts by her government has made Delhi one of the greenest cities in the world.

The highlight of this year’s festival includes display of various flowers and potted trees, competitions for kids and gardeners and cultural shows.

Described by connoisseurs of nature as a natural delight, the three-day festival is being held at the Garden of Five Senses.

“The festival brings together colour, fragrance and texture to offer garden lovers a unique platform,” said Reena Ray, managing director of Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) said.
