Ballia: A BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday alleged that a “conspiracy” is being hatched against Prime Minister Narendra Modi by certain party leaders who are “unable to tolerate him as PM”.
“We won Lok Sabha elections on development plank. The Ram Temple issue is being raked up by certain party leaders… a conspiracy is being hatched against Narendra Modi by those who are unable to tolerate him as PM,” BJP MP from Salempur, Ravindra Kushwaha alleged.
Ram temple and other controversial issues were being fanned by some party leaders to create problems for the Prime Minister, he told reporters here.
On being asked about RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and BJP leader Vinay Katiyar speaking on Ram Temple, Kushwaha said, “Whosoever is raking up the temple issue, is conspiring against Modi.”
“Those using rebellious language get their work done,” he claimed while others doing their duty in a disciplined way do not get importance.
He cited the names of certain ministers, alleging that letters written by him to them were not being acted upon.
He said the BJP had to pay the price in Bihar polls due to needless rhetoric by such people in the party.
Targeting the party’s state leadership, he said they have failed to realise the “ground realities” in the state.
