Jaipur, Novemeber 27: The name of Union minister C P Joshi is cleared for Rajasthan Cricket Association election scheduled for December 7.
Justice N M Kasliwal, who was appointed as the observer for the election, had yesterday gave green signal to IPL chief Lalit Modi in the election.
Four district units had raised questions over the eligibility Joshi, the Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Joshi to contest the election.
The Rajasamand district cricket association had raised an objection that while taking the cutoff date as November 3, the ad hoc body of RCA has intentionally tried to keep Joshi at bay. It contended that Joshi’s election to the post of RCA treasurer was fair.
