Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Joint Secretary (Urban Housing) , Government of India, inspected the two bed room housing scheme at the IDH Colony here on Wednesday.
The Joint Secretary said that the housing scheme would be taken into consideration while preparing the affordable housing policy by the Government of India. He has appreciated the GHMC officials for taking up two bed room flats with an area 580 sft. and construction of 3936 houses for the poor.
GHMC Commissioner & Special Officer Somesh Kumar, Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration Janardharn Reddy and other senior officials were present during the inspection. Somesh Kumar told the Union Joint Secretary that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao plans to implement the scheme in all the slums in the GHMC limits by taking the flats at IDH as a model colony.
