On the complaint received against desecration of old Qutub Shahi Masjid located at Jaleel Guda, Gayatri Nagar, Rangareddy district, Deccan Waqf Properties Protection society and Waqf Board authorities visited the uninhabited masjid. A Waqf Board task force team reached the masjid and found that plotting has been done around the masjid and houses have been constructed. The garbage and debris are being piled up in the masjid area.
Earlier a task force team of Waqf Board headed by Muhammad Abdul Quddoos Protection Officer had also visited the masjid and presented a report but Waqf Board failed to take any action regarding that. Emboldened by Waqf Board’s indifference and silence the masjid is being continuously desecrated.
