Unidentified persons on Sunday night killed two persons including a security guard at ITFL finance company at Shamshabad under RGI Airport police station limits.
The victim was identified as I. Shankeriah, (56) a security guard at the company located near Shamshabad bus stand. The other person is yet to be identified.
The miscreants slit the throat of the unidentified man while they hit Shankeriah on head and also slit his wrist, the police said.
The brutal murder came to light when another security guard came to relieve Shankaraiah on Monday morning and saw the two bodies lying in a pool of blood. On receipt of information the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police rushed to the spot and pressed into service a clues team and a dog squad to track the killers.
Police suspect that the miscreants might have planned to rob the finance company but killed the duo after they were prevented by them. Senior police officials DCP Shamshabad Ramesh Naidu, ACP Sudarshan visited the spot.
Police registered a case of murder for gain under sections 302, 379, 511 IPC and dead bodies shifted to OGH Mortuary for postmortem and began investigation. Inspector A Krishnaiah said. (INN)
