New Delhi: A minor girl was raped and murdered by unidentified criminals at Banda district of Uttar Pradesh who smashed her head and poured acid on her face so that she couldn’t be identified, police said on Sunday.
Superintendent of Police Sripati Mishra said the body of the 14-year-old girl was found near a graveyard.
After conducting postmortem examination, it was established that she had been raped and later murdered. Her head was smashed and the criminals poured acid on her face to disfigure it so that her identity is not established, the SP said.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
