Unemployed graduates exceed the national ratio

The percentage of unemployed graduates has exceeded the national figure. In A.P. many facilities have been given to private multinational companies but it has not helped to decrease the percentage of unemployed youth. The increase of unemployed graduates may lead to organized crimes and cyber crimes.

According to the Survey conducted recently, every third graduate in A.P. is unemployed. The percentage of unemployed graduate in A.P. has reached 33.7 whereas the national percentage is 18-29 this is due to not having any coordination between educational institutions and the industrial organizations. There is an urgent need to take suitable steps to end this phenomenon. Educational institutions should contact the industry to absorb the graduate they produce. Another reason could be that the Universities are not providing the kind of education which helps the industry. If graduates are provided jobs, the country would progress industrially.

It is understood that the survey was conducted after the implementation of Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu Scheme by the Govt. It depicts that the lofty claims made by the Govt. under this scheme have proved false. The organizations have started bringing the industrial houses together to think this problem seriously. It is expected that a workable plan would be formulated to provide jobs to the unemployed graduates. This survey was conducted by Ministry of Labour. If the repatriates from Saudi Arabia are included, the number of unemployed youths may increase further.
