Communist party of India, a party which plays major role in protection of city’s valuable government land, has raised its voice against unauthorized use of government lands.
It is said that unauthorized construction continues, violating government orders, on the land of Swastik oil mill located at Chandrayangutta cross roads. Construction activities are in full swing for building apartments on the vast area of 4 acres.
The special officer of Urban Land Ceiling has issued order against the construction. Despite orders given by special officer (ULC) on February 16, 2012 construction continues on the land and construction activities are in full swing.
CPM city secretariat member Mr. M Srinivas told that nearly 40 years ago the government had given this land for industrial purpose. Now the industrial activities have stopped so the land should be handed over to the government but it didn’t happen instead some opportunists and unauthorized land grabbers plan to build apartments on the land.
