Unauthorised constructions continue at Guttala Begumpet Waqf land

Hyderabad: Despite the issuance of gazette notification by Waqf Board with regard to 92 acre Waqf land of Eidgah Guttala Begum, the illegal occupants have continued construction activities. High Court has rejected the plea of illegal occupants and issued orders in favour of gazette notification.

Meanwhile illegal occupants are said to have intensified construction activities. Temporary sheds have been erected and fencing work is being undertaken.

On receipt of information Waqf board chairman, Mohammed Saleem sent a team of officials to Guttala Begumpet. The officers reached Madhapur police station and lodged a complaint in this connection but police refused to intervene. Illegal occupants are emboldened due to non-cooperation of the police.
