Unani Pharmacy Course in Urdu University started

Hyderabad, September 10: Moulana Azad National Urdu University started Unani Pharmacy Course. Dr. Mohammed Attaullah Shareef, Deputy Director, Central Research Institute for Unani inaugurated this course yesterday. The students who have been admitted into this course attened the inangural function.

The function started with the recitation of the verses from the Quran. Prof Basheer Ahmed, former Principal, Nizamia Tibbia College highlited the details of the Unani Pharmacy Course. Mr. Abdur Rasheed Shaik,Assistant Registar of Urdu University expressed his ideas. Dr. Syed Abdul Khadeer, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Waheed and Dr. Ameena Begum members of the Faculty of Unani Pharmacy also attended the function.

Dr. Abdul Khadeer spoke on this occassion. Dr. Ataullah, in his presidential address, applauded the efforts of Prof.Mohammed Miyan, Vice Chancellor of Urdu University and his associates for the efforts they have made for launching this course in Urdu University. He thanked Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Director, Central Research Institute for Unani and Prof. Basheer Ahmed.

He requested the Vice Chancellor of Urdu University to start BUMS and M.D courses in Unani Medicine in the near future and thus promote the profession of Unani Medicine. The meeting was conducted by Dr. Bahauddin Ansari, Assistant Director.
