Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily while addressing the felicitation function of the successful candidates of BUMS entrance test told that earlier, the candidates never used to bother to take admission in BUMS course under the impression that it is inferior to MBBS course. As a result of which, many seats in Govt. Nizamia Tibbi College and Abdul Haque Tibbi College, Kurnool used to remain vacant but today, there is a lot of competition for these seats. BUMS entrance test is very tough and the students have to prepare for it systematically. Siasat Urdu Daily has been offering coaching for the students appearing for BUMS entrance tests. The students were encouraged and they were supported. These thoughts were expressed by Zahid Ali Khan while addressing the felicitation function of the successful candidates of BUMS entrance test who have sought admissions in Govt. Nizamia Tibbi College, Hyderabad and Dr. Abdul Haque Tibbi College, Kurnool. On this occasion, he remembered the selfless services of late Mr. Sayed Hameeduddin.
Dr. Meer Yousuf Ali, Principal, Govt. Nizamia Tibbi College and Additional Director, AYUSH addressed the gathering as the Chief Guest. He told that in addition to Unani Subjects, the subjects of modern medicine are also taught in BUMS course. He told that to complete MBBS Course, a candidate has to pay Rs. 60 lakh whereas a student can complete BUMS course only in Rs. 6-8 thousands.
