A six-member team from United Nations Women wing visited Bharosa Centre and She teams office to observe and study the initiatives taken by the Hyderabad City Police for the safety and security of women. Rajiv Trivedi, Principal Secretary (Home) led the team.
Ms Nora Allgaier from UN Women wing, Ovais Sarmad from International Organization for Migration and four other delegates from different countries were in the team. Addl. Commissioner of Police (Crimes & SIT) Swati Lakra presented a detailed power point presentation about the women-friendly initiatives of Hyderabad City Police like She teams, Hawk Eye mobile app, whatsapp number and Bharosa Centre.
The visitors studied the working of Bharosa center by going through each and every room in the centre like family counseling, video conferencing, Medical, legal counseling, child counseling and SHE teams office. They interacted with the staff and the complainants to know about the action taken by the police. They were happy to know about the City police initiatives and appreciated their efforts.
