Uma Bharathi to inspect MK works: Harish

Hyderabad: Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi is likely to make a visit to Telangana this month and inspect the works of Mission Kakatiya.
Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today called on Uma Bharathi and apprised her of the flagship program of Mission Kakatiya aimed at restoring water bodies, lakes and tanks to irrigate rural pockets to flourish farmers. The Union Minister has promised to visit the state this month Harish told reporters at national capital after meeting her. He also said that the state government sought her help to push the flagship programs for rapid growth of farm sector and speedy completion of irrigation projects. We sought the Centre help of financial assistance to the projects and expecting timely funding he said. Harish said that he urged Uma Bharathi to accord national status to another project. Devadula project has been selected to be developed under AIBP scheme. (NSS)
