Pune: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that the ultimate aim of education should not be to just get a job and make a living.
Addressing the students at Symbiosis university, Rajnath said, “A poet has said that, we graduate, become servant, get pension and die. This is the life cycle we follow. But, I want to ask you(students), is this the ultimate aim of education?”
Rajnath also said that India is the only country which has considered people all over the world as part of its own family.
“India is the only country which has not only accepted the people of the country as its own family but considered people all over the world as part of the family member,” he added.
Talking to students on Teachers’ day, he said “You must have heard of Thomas L. Friedman’s book ‘The world is flat’. He has written an essay on comparing Infosys versus Al-Qaida. He said that Infosys has also a global network as well as Al-Qaeda. The youths are in Infosys as well as Al-Qaeda. He also said that highly talented youths are in Infosys and Al-Qaeda as well. The difference is only their thinking. One believes in creative thinking while other believes in destructive thinking. Somehow our education system is responsible for this(destructive thinking).”(ANI)
