Dehradun: BJP leader Usha Rani today joined the Congress, along with scores of her supporters, at Uttarakhand Sadan in New Delhi.
Usha, who joined the Congress in the presence of PCC president Kishore Upadhyay, PCC spokesmen Mathuradutt Joshi and Jot Singh Bisht, said it was the party’s programmes and policies which had attracted her to it, a party press release said here.
Welcoming her to the party fold, Upadhyay said her induction into the Congress will strengthen the party.
Uttarakhand goes to Assembly polls on February 15.
