New Delhi : Central Crime Branch has started an investigation on three travel agents from Bangalore after the UK government found a deluge of counterfeit stamps and spurious documents.
The agents advised eight applicants to get fake immigration stamps for UK visas and passports and to hide the fact that they had broken the rules of their previous UK visas.
All UK visa officers were trained in forgery detection and anything suspicious was given to the Immigration Enforcement Overseas team to conduct further checks on.
The UK government takes visa fraud very seriously and those who are found guilty of it are not only refused a visa, their passport could be revoked.
The guilty could face 10 year travel bans from not only UK but from countries including America and Australia along with a criminal investigation.(ANI)
