UK student hopes to set world record by bouncing 26.2 miles on pogo stick

A 24-year-old student is hoping to enter the Guinness Book of World Records by bounding on a pogo stick for 26.2 miles in Manchester, UK.

Jack Sexty is also hoping that his bouncing act will raise at least 2,000 pounds for Alzheimer’s research, which is a cause close to his heart because of his grandfather’s diagnosis, the Daily Star reported.

Sexty said that he has been practicing on a pogo stick in carefully selected quiet locations, much to the bewilderment of a few dog walkers.

If he manages to complete the feat and beat his mentor and current-record holder James Roumeliotis, who covered 23.22 miles in 14hrs 32mins in 2011 on a pogo stick, Sexty will become the first and the fastest person to complete a marathon by pogo. (ANI)
