Hyderabad: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted post-facto approval to three Teacher Education colleges of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad at Sambhal (UP), Asansol (WB), Aurangabad (MS). The approval is effective from the Academic Session 2014-15. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has already granted its approval for starting BEd courses at these colleges.
According to a communication received from Dr. Jitendra K. Tripathi, Joint Secretary, recently UGC has also sanctioned 33 new faculty positions at the above colleges. Three assistant professor posts have been sanctioned for College of Teacher Education, Srinagar (J&K); 10 for CTE, Bhopal, 12 for CTE, Darbhanga, six for CTE, Asansol, two for CTE, Aurangabad.
Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU has expressed his pleasure on the approval by the UGC.
