MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Uday Chopra attacked and ridiculed on microblogging site Twitter when he tweeted about Karnataka Assembly elections 2018 results.
On May 15, he posted a tweet citing the political affiliation of Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala. Sharing Vajubhai’s Wikipedia profile link, the Dhoom actor called him the “BJP guy”.
“I just googled the governor of Karnataka https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vajubhai_Vala … BJP guy and RSS hmmm I guess we all know what’s gonna happen.”

Later, referring to the hung verdict in Karnataka Assembly elections and the political parties, he posted another tweet.

But these tweets didn’t go down too well to online trolls and he was ridiculed for expressing his opinion on social media.

Karnataka elections delivered a hung assembly on Tuesday as no party getting a clear majority. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 104 seats and emerged as the single largest party. The Congress and JD(S), meanwhile, with 78 and 38 seats respectively staking a claim to form government in the state.
