UCLA on lockdown after two killed in murder-suicide shooting

Washington: A campus-wide lockdown was enforced on the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) today, after two people were killed in a murder-suicide at the varsities premises.

According to CNN, UCLA Student Body President Michael Skiles identified William S. Klug as the individual who was slain.

The police said that they found a weapon and confirmed that no suspects remain at large.

UCLA said classes were cancelled for the rest of the day, but are expected to resume tomorrow, except for the engineering school, where the death occurred.

The shooting took place in a small office in the engineering building, however, it has not been confirmed yet if the dead were students.

Officials put the campus on lockdown as authorities investigated. Throngs of police with long guns patrolled the streets of the campus of more than 40,000 students.

Los Angeles police is still investigating the shooting, according to university officials. (ANI)
