BR Shetty a noted industrialist from United Arab Emirates (UAE) has agreed in principle to invest in several sectors in Telangana, IT and Industries Minister KT Rama has said. KTR said that BR Shetty is evincing keen interest in investing in the sectors such as pharma city, medical devices park and others.
He informed to the UAE businessmen that Telangana is potential destination for the investments. Earlier, KTR held a meeting with Shetty at Secretariat here and discussed on the industrial policy, single window clearance of all permissions and facilities being provided by the government for industries to set up and expand. Hyderabadis turning out to be a bulk drug destination and huge investments are coming in with the innovative industrial policy in life sciences, aero space and other sectors KTR said.
Shetty said that he will also consider investing in health sector in the state in addition to pharma sector and medical devices park. I heard that the new state of Telangana is adopting innovative methods and implementing hassle free policies and now I am happy to find them in true spirit Shetty said. Stating that he will come up with a plan to enter social service in the youngest state, Shetty promised to contact other industrialists and businessmen to invest in Telangana. He also stated that he will make efforts for holding meetings with industrialists at Dubai and Abu Dhabi. (NSS)
