UAE emirate to upgrade oil storage capacity

The UAE emirate of Fujairah will upgrade its petroleum storing facilities at its sea port.

Emirate’s ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Thursday directed the Fujairah Port Authority to increase the capacity of its crude storing facilities.

Sharqi asked the authority to invite tenders for the construction of these facilities.

The port currently has seven dedicated berths for oil tankers with a length of 2,340 meters, all boasting the latest equipments for docking and handling.
