New Delhi:Two youths suffered severe injuries after allegedly being thrashed by a group of about 10 unidentified persons at south Delhi’s Sainik Farm area, police said today.
The incident took place on Friday evening when Ravi (28) and his friend Satish (28), residents of Devli area, had gone to Sainik Farm area to book a farmhouse for a party on behalf of a friend, police said.
The accused group arrived in three cars, intercepted them and allegedly thrashed them with rods and sticks. They fled the scene after the duo collapsed on the ground, they said.
While one of them lost consciousness, the other called up the police control room and they were rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre where they are presently being treated, police added.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC and the police have obtained CCTV footage from nearby premises.
The victims have not named anyone as suspects yet, a police official, said, adding, this can be a case of mistaken identity too.
