Two women among five commits suicide

In separate cases, five persons, including two women, committed suicide for different reasons.

A 24-year-old man, J Chandu, committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Vinayak Nagar Colony of Bandlaguda on Friday night. According to Rajendra Nagar police, Chandu took the extreme step after he was rebuked by his mother on some trivial issue.

In a similar case, 18-year-old Rathore Santosh committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Banjara Basji of Anjaiah Nagar on Friday night. He had failed in SSC last year and was not doing any job. He was allegedly rebuked by his mother Jamuna and brother Raju for not doing any work and the same is suspected to have led him to suicide.

In Ibrahimpatnam police limits, several stomach pain drove a 45-year-old woman to suicide. The deceased, R Swaroopa, consumed some unknown poison on December 9 and died at the Osmania General Hospital on Saturday morning. She was resident of Adibatla in Ranga Reddy district.

In a separate case, 55-year-old G Lakshmi committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Tadban on Friday night. The reasons that led to her to the extreme step are yet to be ascertained, according to Kalapather police.

In another case, 48-year-old M Ramanjaneyulu committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of Nature Cure Hospital. According to Ghatkesar police, Ramanjaneyulu, a native of Kadapa, was admitted to the hospital a few days ago for treatment. Further investigations are on. (INN)
