Guwahati, December 05: Two militants of ULFA, allegedly involved in the November 2006 bomb blasts in Tinsukia, surrendered before the Army today. Self-styled sergeant Anshuman Bora and ”lance corporal” Rinku Barma of 28th battalion laid down their arms before the Army”s 77th Brigade commander at Thakurbari in Assam”s Sonitpur district, defence sources said.
They also deposited a 9-mm pistol, a G-3 rifle, 104 rounds of ammunition and four magazines, they said. Bora had joined the insurgent outfit in January 1998 and Barma in 2005, the sources said.
