Two travel agents nabbed in city hotel

Hyderabad: On a tip-off, sleuths of Commissioner’s Taskforce, Central Zone Team, on the intervening night of April 15 and 16 raided a room in a hotel at Lakdikapul and arrested two suspected travel agents Gamluri Amanullah and Mahmood Khan and seized five Indian National Passports, three Cell Phones and a net cash of Rs 3,800 from their possession.

While Gamluri Amanullah, 27, a native of Errapally village under Duvur mandal of Kadapa District and Mahaboob Khan, 50, of Fatehdarwaza, Hyderabad were arrested, Gundala Mohammed Ghouse, 29, Passport/Visa Agent of Duvvuru, Kadapa District was absconding.

Police said Gamluri Amanullah along with Gundala Mohammed Ghouse hatched a plan to send Man Power illegally to the Gulf countries with the help of sub-agents in Hyderabad and other places of Telangana and A.P States by giving commission to them and trapping innocent and illiterate victims through known and unknown agents by giving false promises of providing cleaning, labour jobs at Saudi Arabia and Dubai for which they demand Rs 85,000 to Rs 1,00,000 from each.

The accused used to come to Hyderabad and stay in a hotel at Lakdikapool and call the candidates to Hyderabad, to collect money and their original Indian passports from them. Later, they used to provide Visit/Tourist Visa and Air-ticket with the help of one Mahboob Shareef, who hails from Kadapa and send them to Arab countries. The accused and the seized property were handed over to the Saifabad PS.

The raid was conducted under the supervision of P. Radha Kishan Rao, DCP, Commissioner’s Task Force by Sayini Srinivas Rao, Inspector, SIs G.Thimmappa and B. Kantha Reddy along with the staff of Central Zone Team. (NSS)
