Hyderabad, March 08: Police today arrested two Telugu Desam corporators and a former corporator in connection with the “attack” on a group of pro-Telangana lawyers here.
TDP corporators S Srinivas Reddy, Bhanu Prasad and a former corporator Dinesh Yadav have been arrested, a senior police officer told PTI.
A group of pro-Telangana lawyers and activists of TDP had clashed during the ‘Maha Dharna’ at Indira Park here jointly organised by the TDP and Left parties on Saturday last demanding roll-back of hike in prices of petroleum prices.
Seven lawyers were injured during the clashes and the Telangana Lawyers Joint Action Committee (JAC) blamed TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for the “attack” saying they were holding peaceful demonstration seeking Naidu to clarify his stand on separate Telangana.
