Muzaffarnagar :Two persons, including a shopkeeper, were shot dead in separate incidents in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli districts, the police said today.
Ankit (22) was shot dead yesterday when he was in his shop at Budiya Kala village in Muzaffarnagar district, SHO Praveen Kumar said.
A case has been registered and the body sent for post- mortem.
The incident led to protests by locals.
In another incident, Ajay (32) was shot dead yesterday by three persons when he allegedly opposed a robbery bid near Billi village in the neighbouring Shamli district, SHO Bhagat Singh said.
A hunt is underway to nab the accused, he added.
