(Siasat News)Finance Minister of A.P. Mr. Ram Narayan Reddy said that the Central Govt. has sanctioned two sea ports for the State. Appropriate places have also been identified for these ports.
Earlier, Dokarajupatnam in Nellore Districts was identified as one of the places for the seaport but Govt. of India designated Ramaihpatnam for the new sea port which is most unsuitable.
The central Govt. didn’t mention the name of the new sea port in the sanction letter sent to state Govt. but suddenly the name of Ramaiahpatnam was announced later. Details of change of place were not mentioned in the sanction letter sent to the State Govt.
Mr. Ramnaayan Reddy told the newsmen yesterday that he met the C.M. and apprised him of these facts. He promised to talk to Central Govt. officials. Mr. Ramnarayan Reddy told that the name suggested by the State Govt. should not be changed.
